The first African Regional Congress of the International Society for Labour and Social Security Law (ISLSSL) will be held at Sun City, South Africa on the 7th of September 2017. The African Labour Law Society (ALLS) is arranging an exiting scientific program under the main theme "African Perspectives on Labour Law: Theory and Practice". Several interesting themes (such as migration, agency work, regulation of wages and conditions of service, enforcement of labour decisions and awards, social security past lessons and future challenges, and the influence of standard setting bodies on the development of labour law in Africa) will be discussed by distinguished African scholars. Prof Evance Kalua, from the University of Cape Town, is the Key Note speaker and Dr Joni Musabayana from the ILO will be presenting the closing address. The registration fee of R4000 for SASLAW and ALLS members. R4500 for non-members includes attendance at the SASLAW 20th Annual conference which follows on 8-9 September. Sun City offers luxurious accommodation in the African bush veld with game reserves in close proximity.
